The $KILN token
$KILN is Kiln's token. Every GPU on Kiln has a dollar price, and $KILN can pay it.
What $KILN does
| Use | How |
|---|---|
| Pay for any GPU | Every listing is priced in USD. Choose $KILN at checkout and pay that price in $KILN. |
| One-step checkout | Your $KILN is converted to USDC through Jupiter and your lease opens in the same transaction. If either part fails, nothing happens. |
| Stable for providers | Providers are always paid in USDC, so their earnings don't move with the token price. That keeps more GPUs on the network. |
| Buyback and burn | Fees from GPU rentals and from $KILN trading are used to buy $KILN and burn it. |
Why dollar prices
Renters want to know what a GPU costs; providers want to know what they'll earn. Pricing in USD gives both a stable number, while $KILN holders still get a direct way to use their tokens for real compute.
Launch on pump.fun
$KILN launches on pump.fun on Solana. pump.fun launches work like this:
- Fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens, created at launch. No one can mint more.
- Bonding curve. About 800 million tokens are sold on a curve where the price rises as people buy. There's no presale and no allocation before trading opens.
- Graduation. When the curve sells out, liquidity moves automatically to a pool on PumpSwap, pump.fun's exchange, and trading continues there. From then on, Jupiter can route $KILN payments through it.
pump.fun's parameters change from time to time. Check pump.fun's own documentation at launch for current figures.
Contract address
The only official $KILN contract address is the one published on the token page and pinned on Kiln's official channels at launch. Anything before that is not us. Copies of new tokens appear within minutes; always check the address.
Buyback and burn
Kiln uses its fees to buy back $KILN and burn it:
- GPU rental fees: 2.5% of every payment for proven GPU time goes to the treasury, in USDC.
- Token trading fees: the creator share of $KILN's trading fees on pump.fun goes to the same treasury.
The treasury swaps those fees for $KILN on the open market and burns it in the same transaction, permanently reducing the supply. Every buyback is public, and the token page shows the total burned, read live from the chain. Full details: Buyback and burn.
